1) Vinyl click in the living room

Since it is water-resistant, this floor covering is ideal for basements where water damage caused by rapid snow melt can cause a lot of damage to your home. Choosing click vinyl is a good investment because, in the event of water damage, you can simply remove the boards, let them dry and then reinstall them. Easy as pie!

With a wide variety of finishes, textures and shades, it will be very easy to transform your living room to the taste of the day. 2) Vinyl click in the bathroom

Since the bathroom is the favorite place where there are often water droplets covering the floor, once again, click vinyl flooring is a relevant choice. In addition, walking barefoot on a click vinyl floor is much more pleasant than walking on a ceramic floor (unless of course you have a heated floor). It will remain flexible and comfortable for several years.

Several finishes are available for click vinyl such as the concrete look, the ceramic look and the marble look:  concrete-ceramic-marble look . With all these choices, your new bathroom will have a contemporary chic look.

3) Vinyl clicks into the room

Does your bedroom floor need a makeover? This project could be done very quickly if you opt for click vinyl flooring. Its installation does not require glue (the smell of which puts off many people) or very expensive tools. To cut the planks, you will need a utility knife (exacto) and for installation, simply interlock the planks into each other. Quick and efficient.

From a style standpoint, click vinyl offers a wide range of finishes and textures. Go with a wood-effect finish for a more classic look that will last through the years. For the baby’s room, stone-look click vinyl is also lovely.

4) Vinyl click in the office corner

Are you looking to set up an office area dedicated to teleworking? Click vinyl as a floor covering is an excellent choice! Since your chair is likely to move forward and backward several times while you work, click vinyl is known to be very scratch-resistant and will keep its beautiful appearance for several years.

No need to compromise on looks! Click vinyl will give your office an industrial look with its imitation concrete finish. If you prefer a more traditional look, we recommend the imitation wood finish, which comes in several shades ranging from natural wood to dark brown wood to wood with gray gradients. 5) Vinyl click in the kitchen

For most people, ceramic will be their number 1 choice in the kitchen. However, vinyl clic has many advantages that are similar to those of ceramic: resistant, durable and easy to clean. The main difference will be in terms of comfort. Unless you have a heated floor in the kitchen, vinyl clic will be much more comfortable for your feet because it will be at the same temperature as the room while ceramic tends to remain colder.

Our experts give you some advice that will be very useful for installing your click vinyl floor covering:

Place the boxes containing the vinyl click planks in the room for 48 hours so that they acclimatize to the temperature and humidity (before starting work)

Make sure the floor surface to be covered is smooth, flat, dry and clean. Make sure no nail or screw heads are protruding from the surface.

Remove the baseboards and stringers at the bottom of the walls before starting work and reinstall them only at the end (it is easier to ensure that the baseboards will be above the new vinyl floor (with a 1/16 inch space).

Make sure to cut the door frame so that the vinyl planks slide underneath easily (and also for a nicer finish).

Cover the surface starting in the upper left corner of the room and install the planks from left to right.

Install them one row at a time. To avoid having small pieces of boards at the end (right) that end up at each end, cut the very first board a few inches before installing it.

Be sure to leave 1/8 inch between the first line of boards and the wall for expansion. This space will be covered by the baseboards/cords anyway.

Install the boards by inserting them into each other. To secure the boards together, use a rubber mallet.

To cut the boards, use a utility knife (commonly called an exacto) or an electric saw (bench saw).
